Sahira Zedare sees each performance as an opportunity
to be an ambassador for this art form. Her main styles are Raqs Sharqi and
Tribal Fusion, and she dances with zills (finger cymbals), veil, scimitar,
tray, Isis wings, and cane. Sahira's skills also include drumming with tar,
riqq, and doumbek. Dancing and drumming generate a joyous synergy!
Sahira Zedare is available to perform a diverse array of her choreographed dances
for staged performances, parties (sorry, no bachelor parties), corporate
events, and fundraisers. Sahira also facilitates community drum circles
and teaches basic Middle Eastern rhythms.
It is possible to hire Sahira separately or with the Synergy Sirens dance company.
Options run from 15 minute performances to multiple longer dances in an evening.
We cater the style to the event. For instance, Raqs Sharqi style is great for
cultural events and those seeking "traditional" bellydance, while
fusion style works well for Halloween and fans of rock or house/techno music.
